Classy Massey

Mar 30, 18:20 · Sarah Lazarovic

What kind of person takes pictures of bathroom art in the stalls at Massey College? So I'm a weirdo, but how beautiful are the amazing prints (detailed little line drawings all of them) that they have hanging inside the bathroom. Four prints per stall! A hall of miniature galleries if you can get past the unappealing aspects, and if they're not occupied. One at a time please! Gallery occupancy: 1! And how might the artist feel, I wonder, having his/her lovely work hanging in such a private spot?

Lines of the Times

Very much enjoying my illustrating gig for The National. Have to convey rather heady ideas in tiny black and white spots. This one was about the demise of Lehman Bros.

We Shot a Short

Our NSI Drama Prize Short is shot. Our actors were fantastic, our crew equally so. Now begins the post production process. They loved owls in the 70s, didn't they?

My Film and TIFF's Films

Sorry for the hiatus. We've been shooting our feature all month. Here's a still from the top floor of Aunties & Uncles, where we shot a brunch scene.

Portrait Project

I'll be doing one portrait a day until I can't do one portrait a day anymore. Not allowed to spend more than an hour on each one.

Long Live Irony

This is my catch-all site - art projects, journalism, weird experiments, all founded in the general belief that irony is not dead, regardless of what Graydon Carter says.

Dress and Suit

A joint blog where me and the Mr. post our thoughts on fashion and design, and I chronicle my year of not shopping. (I've cheated once.)

The Portrait Gallery

The government has been all kinds of annoying when it comes to creating a respectable National Portrait Gallery of Canada. So we built one in our garage this summer!
